The Arts and Special Programs
O’Melveny Elementary recognizes the importance of Arts Education to improve student achievement in all core subjects, particularly for low performing students. O’Melveny supports the following Art disciplines:
- Instrumental Music Program with over 60 wind, brass, string, and percussion instruments serving grades 3-5
- Theatre Arts once a week serving grades K-5
- Visual Arts during recess and lunch
- California Weekly – Social Studies based student assemblies to engage 4th & 5th grade students in storytelling
