Anti-Bulling / Kindness Week

The students and staff of O'Melveny Elementary School showed their spirit during Anti-Bullying/Kindness week in January 2018. We discussed proactive and positive bullying prevention strategies to educate students on the importance of standing up against bullies and asking for help. We also took the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC), which is one week dedicated to creating a culture of kindness on school campuses nationwide. All students received a checklist with either 50 or 12 kind deeds and were encouraged to do as many random acts of kindness as possible for the week. Our students, staff, and members of the community all supported us in numerous activities that demonstrate that we care about bullying prevention because Kindness Matters!  Take a look at how much fun we had!!
