English Learners

English Learners (ELs) comprise 43% of the total student population. The goal for ELs is to reach English proficiency as rapidly as possible while maintaining adequate progress in all subjects. To become fully English proficient, ELs in grades 2-5 need to achieve the following:

• Score Benchmark on DIBELs assessment,
• Score at least Early Advanced on the overall CELDT exam (minimum of 3 in each domain), and
• Earn a mark of 3 or 4 in English Language Arts in the Elementary Progress Report.
